City Alphabet

For my final project, I decided to try to find letters of the alphabet on my walks around Savannah and Old Town Alexandria. Since some of the shots were from far away, I had to crop them a bit to make them look like the rest. I also had a fun on a few of them in Lightroom to play with the colors.

Since you really have to see all of them to see what I was going for, I tried to use a collage effect to show you the final products and what the letters look like spelling my name.

I am excited to keep adding to this project. It was really hard to get some of the letters without having to find them in a sign. I can't wait until I find all the letters in "nature" or the "cityscape".

Also fun to play with them in black and white and personalize them for members of the family.

What I found hardest was trying to see the objects that we abstract and making them into letters of the alphabet. Obviously the big X on the door was easy, but the harder ones were the iron letters to make J and G. Or the leg of the aligator to make the J.

All in all I had fun and really enjoyed this project!
